Body scrubs

I strongly believe body scrub is very important for maintaining the smoothness of skin. I used to have a lot of acne and roughness at my back and also the back of the arm years ago and it gets tremendous improvement after I use body scrub regularly with the combination of diet change (eat more vegetables and drink 8 cups of water per day).

Body scrubs come with many different texture and smell which offer people with different needs. My body skin type is normal but my back is a bit oily. As my problem area is the back, I prefer the exfoliating scrub to be gentle but coarse . I feel my dead skin removed and my skin of so smooth after shower. As my skin is not that dry, I dislike the scrub with strong body oil that leaves the skin a shinny layer.

I have tried many different scrubs and these are scrubs that I like.

Body shop has two body scrubs that I like. One is the papaya body scrub and the other is Africa salt scrub. The papaya body scrub has a coarse scrub that leave your skin smooth. It is a bit runny but still stick to your skin. Also the smell is very fresh and great to use in summer. As it is runny, I use it without adding much water and can use for around 5 times in total. The Africa salt scrub has very fine scrub and the smell is very natural. It has to add water for spreading it on the skin. It can stick to the skin and do the exfoliation. As it is so fine, it may need a bit of pressure for exfoliation. It looks like milk when water runs through the skin. The skin feels very soft and moisturizing. You can use around 12 times.

Among all these, I like the Origin modern friction body scrub the most if price is not a concern. Its texture is the stickiest among all and the scrub is very suitable for exfoliating acne skin. It definitely need to add a bit more water to spread it over the skin as it is quite dry to spread on out of the bottle. It sticks on the skin and leaving it easier to polish. It polishes the skin really well and leaves your skin like a new born baby. However, I hate the package as it is so difficult to squeeze from the tube. As the scrub is very sticky, it stays on the side of the tube and you will waste a lot if you just throw it away. So, iI have to cut it open and squeeze all into a jar for use. For 200 ml, you can use up to 10 times. But for 200ml scrub costs up to AUD 70, it is still very expensive.

Loccitane Almond Delicious Paste is another great scrub. It has crunchy almond shells and sugar crystals which gently refines your skin. The grain is in between of the modern friction and the body shop africa spa salt scrub and can get rid of the dead skin. The smell is very nice and delicious. You really want to eat it when you are exfoliating the skin and it runs like the milk when you shower. It leaves a very mild but not shinny almond oil and your skin will be very soft afterwards. It is great to use in dry climate. It is a bit pricey AUD 54.95 for 200 ml and more suitable to use it as a treat. Hehe....that what I will do in the future.

Natio wellness body scrub is the cheapest at all but I am so surprise with the outcome. I do not like most of the gel-based body scrub as most of them cannot stick to the skin well for exfoliating. You cannot feel the grain at all and feel like you just have a normal gel shower. So, I usually go for the creamy paste. However, I saw good review from others and I got one from the sale during Christmas. I tried this morning and it was really good. It is grainy and can polish all the dead skin. The smell is not artificial but mild leaving your skin feeling fresh. The skin feels smooth after shower and I believe I can able to use at least 15 times. It is just AUD16.32 and it is the cheapest of all. It is good to use either in summer or winter. I always wanted to find one scrub that is cheap and good as I consume quite a lot of amount on single use and this is for sure the one I will choose.
