Chocolate wonderland

Melbourne has several nice chocolate shop. One of that is Koko black. I did not have chance to try it last time as it was closed during easter holiday. I like rich and black chocolate and I could see there are so many choices there. I bought the eight chocolate gift box. They are not the typical sweet chocolate but rich and subtle. I really love it and hopefully they may open a shop in Brisbane. Yum...Yum...

Nice cafe

This was the first meal we had after we arrive in Melbourne last weekend. We found that there were several small cafe just under the hotel along Bourke Street. These small cafes seemed to quite good as we saw quite a lot of customers. So, we picked the Gordon's Cafe and Bar without any preference ...(cos we think all of them are similarly good...hehe)
I ordered a calamari Greek salad and Tao ordered a steak sandwich. Both of them are huge according to the price. Compare to Brisbane, the food serving in this cafe was surely better in taste based on the price. I really like the calamari as they are well seasoned and cooked. For the steak sandwich, the beef is nicely cooked ....juicy and tendered. We did not expect the cafe on such a narrow hidden street could be so good. It was really a great start for our Melbourne trip.

I love Haagen Dazs

Haagen Dazs must be many people's favourite. How come there is no Haagen Daz in Brisbane. I really miss it. There is no other brands here can compare to this.

Lunch @ Anouk

Another day out to Paddington. Tao and I wanted to have brunch @ lure . However, it was closed when we arrived. So , we decided to go to Anouk.
Tao picked the meatballs pasta and I got the salad. He had the mango and passionfruit smoothie and it was quite sweet. A great drink for summer ...yum. I quite like the salad at the beginning but I guess the sause is too strong and I found it is a bit too salty after several bite. Anyway, Anouk is still a good cafe for breakfast.

My baby

This is my new baby. He is a a quarter maltese x toy poodle. He is just six weeks old and will not yet go home with me till eight weeks. He is very cute with white chest and four white legs. Tao and I have not decided on the name yet. We are thinking between buddy and cookie. I cannot wait that day to bring him home.

Satisfy with a hamburger

When we were still kids, we got satisfation easily. I still remember going to McDonalds having a cup of hot chocolate and hamburger was already one of the best treat for me. My mum always bought me to the nearest McDonalds and enjoy a hot chocolate , fries and burger. I still remembered there was two to three small marshmallow in the chocolate..it was so yummy. I could not find that taste anymore from any of the McDonalds nowadays. Thing always taste better in the past. Memory are always the best.

At this age, I could not get satisfaction from a burger anymore. Our wants, needs, desire get bigger and bigger according to our age. We demand more and better. Many things that we regarded as treasure are no longer as good as they were in life. Life becomes more difficult and challenging in response to our unlimited and asending goals. So, we get to be more hardworking to get what we can get.

I just wonder ..will our desend in one way after a certain age..!

Yum Cha

Yum cha seems to be a culture for all Hong Kong people. However, I do not really like that because it is quite boring. I guess it is because I used to have it every Sunday since I was five till I studied in Australia. ...Also, it is quite troublesome to drink tea in Brisbane. Not many chinese restaurant serving that, you have to wait at least half hour to be seated.

Last week, we decided to yum cha because we have not tried that for a year. So, we decided to give a try and hopefully to get a seat without waiting...hehe....
Luckily, we arrived before the restaurant opened. Even though we were there so early, there were still numbers of ppl already waiting ......

Tao and I had quite a lot of dim sums.......and egg tarts. However, Tao not felt so comfortable that night and that must be related to the food @ yum cha......Not a really good experience.
