Ghost story~~~

I keep reading the blog of Su Yan Tian Shi and found her last post about a ghost story. She strongly reccommends that and I decided to read the whole story. The story is posted on the hk discussion board website. If you are able to read traditional chinese and not afraid of reading ghost story, it is definitly one that you will enjoy.

The author is "jemdogdog" and it is a very long story. Although he uses a lot of foul language (claimed to more accurate to describe the true feeling) and the timeline of the story was a bit complex and confusing, it is still a great scary story to read. I recommend to read it during day time ...feeling more safe ...hehe....cos you will get scared by the detailed description...

Hair cut

Cookie was acting a bit weird recently. He cried at night while sleeping which it did not happen anymore after the first few nights we brought him back. We thought he might need to go to toilet but still the same after he finished his toilet time. He was okay during the day time but we found that he did not sleep on the bed anymore. Finally, we found the reason -- his hair is too long and it was too hot to sleep on the bed .

So, I cut his hair. I tried not to cut it too short as it does not look lovely with too shorted hair and pointy nose exposed. I kept the face hair to be long and cute the hair of the body. It seemed that he is getting better and feeling more comfortable while sleeping at night. He is willing to go to his bed now and did not cry ...yeah....Sleep tight ...

Cookie sleeps in a very special pose most of the time. He usually sleeps with the stomach up and all the legs leaning upwards. I guess he looks like playing boxing while sleeping....so cute.

Winnie's birthday dinner @ Vida

Winnie had her birthday party@ Vida last Friday. We had a happy time there and all of us enjoyed the environment and the food there.

Vida is a Australian and Spanish restaurant at Paddington. By standing at front of the entrance, Vida looked very small and seemed to fit only several tables. However, the restaurant is a lot bigger inside and the view there was very good. The restaurant is cosy and the service is pretty good.

I like the olives served there ...tasty ...yum....We finished a whole plate of it. I had the ocean trout and Tao ordered the vension as main. I was wondering how come my ocean became salmon at the end...or ..Ocean trout equaled to salmon???!Anyway, the salmon was quite nice as it is not overcooked. The vegetables was quite ordinary...not much special. The vension was pretty good as well...and I like the caramel onion the most...hehe...Overall speaking, the food there is average with the price range. It is still a good restaurant to have some special food with a quiet and cosy environment.

Choco -late

More chocolate ...thanks to Tao. Tao bought these nice supreme chocolate from Melbourne. I was so surprised to get these wonderful snack. Recently I fall in love with chocolate with coffee bean and I get a whole block of it. White chocolate is always on my favourite list and I am able to try the one from KOKO Black.

The other two he got me were from Max Brenner . I donot sure what type of chocolate inside the box....I guess I will open that when I finish all the others....hehe..

Breakfast @ Lure

Finally able to squeeze some time to enjoy a nice breakfast. We always want to try the breakfast @ Lure . The menu is very Australian ...with egg as the main ingredient...scramble, fried, poached.....etc. I ordered the scramble egg with feta cheese with Turkish bread. Tao ordered the Egg breakfast...a super huge dish.....

I like the combination of rocket spinach with feta cheese egg.......Even though I am not into rocket spinach..but it is a good match to the strong tasted egg. The Turkish bread is very crispy...quite different to the Turkish bread in other restaurants...cos most of them are soft.

I especially like the mushroom of Tao's breakfast . I guess I really like mushroom a lot...Yum.....

Concealer

Before 25, I never used concealer even though I wore makeup. However, I cannot live without it even just going out for grocery. I usually put under my eye and some acne spots. So, I do not need a very heavy one but just light and easy to use.

At first , I tried the very famous YSL radiant touch and I do not really like it. It is very easy to use but is a bit dry to me. Also there is only three colours available which is not very suitable for my skin tone. I also hate the smell of it. After one or two months, the brush started to be a bit smelly even though I use tissue paper to clean it every time I use it. Once it got smell, I do not wanna use it as it seemed not very clean or already infected by bacteria....yeee

I heard that the Precriptives flawless concealer is quite good and I wanna give a try. I went to the counter and the BA introduce the brightening concealer to me. The design is very similar to the YSL radiant touch but with spf. It is very good for under eye concealer because it gets spf and I do not need to apply specific sunblock for the eye. Also, there are 7 colours available and I can find the one that is suitable for my skin.The texture is light and not dry at all. I have used it for several months and there is no smell from the brush and I really love it. One of the bad thing is that you still have to use your finger to blend the concealer. If not, it is quite difficult for you to blend it with the brush provided. Overall speaking, I really like it and will keep using it until I can able to try another famous concealer -cle de peau when I back to hk .

Hoya-waxflower

This is a little plant left from the previous owner. I did not take a look of it before cos I did not have much interest about plants. However, I found that this plant has very special flower which I have never seen before and then I started to notice it.

This is Hoya , also called as wax flower, is a tropical climbing plant. The flower is star-shaped
and appear in clusters. The surface of the flower is not smooth a bit hairy. It is very unique as I have never seen it before(maybe I am just a blank book of plant). I hope to keep this plant when we move and hopefully this plant can grow under our care.

House Hunting disaster

House hunting and house viewing are so much different. Last month, Tao and I went to see open house for leisure. We wanna see how the display houses were built and how they displayed furnitures. It was great seeing so many different structure of houses and stylish furniture. At that time, we did not have any idea and just went there without purpose...(cos we were too boring and nothing much to do).
However, situation changed as our house is sold and we definitely get to find a new one within quite a short period of time , if not, we would end up sleeping on the street with my cute little dog-cookie. We started house hunting two weeks ago and we did not see any particular good one that both of us like even though we have viewed more than 10. I was very worried that we would end up homeless.

We saw several "okay" options in the second weeks but they were overpriced or in not very safe area. We was a bit released as there was options there. We decided to pick one out of those choices. Tao prefered the one that I hated the most. We had one of our biggest fight ever. At the end, he gave up that choice and we decided on another one that was overpriced but hoping they will accept our offer. Honestly, I quite like that house because of the view and the cosy feeling. We already filled the form and handed in our offer ...but there another thing stopping us. We did not hand in the offer at the end because of rejection . So all the three options we thought are able to solve our homeless problem disappeared. We have to go house hunting again and hopefully we are able to see one that both we like within another 10 days. I am exhausted. .....

New tricks

Cookie has learnt new tricks. We started to train him how to sit, give hands, roll over and begging "qing qing". We used around 3 weeks to teach him, as he is a very greedy dog , it's quite easy to train him. He likes eating liver treat a lot and I always train him with that. He is so greedy that trying to do everything we train him ibefore we command. That's the reason he is getting so fat and become 0.5 kg heavier in 4 weeks..which is quite a lot for a toy poodle... I am thinking to teach him new tricks...like dancing or pretending to be dead..hehe....
