Accident in dust storm

Brisbane experienced two dust storms last week. I never seen the sky so dusty before that you cannot see anything 500 meters away. The sky is orange in colour and you can smell the dust when you breath. Even though I closed all door and window, there still a layer of yellow dust on all the furniture. That 's the first time I experience dust storm.

The second dust storm was on Saturday. The visibility was not as bad as the first one but still can see a layer of dust in the sky. I thought people was going to drive more safely at that time but we experienced a accident just in front of us. Tao and I just waited at the light for a right turn and that a car crush happened just in front of us. We were the fourth car waiting at the light and there was a truck turning left to the road started to lose control. The driver was sure driving too fast for turning and "bomb" crashed into the car just in front of us. Because there was also a ute at the back of the truck and it started to skid and hit all the two cars at front. Tao immediately changed lane and lucky we did not get hurt. Tao said that he saw the driver's face was red and believed he was drunk. That was terrible to have driver did that especially in such a poor driving condition.

Thanks so much that we did not get hurt. But both of us was so scared. The whole thing seemed to happen slowly via your eye but you could not react anything. Both of us just sit and saw everything...Even though we wanna escaped but you could not move a bit....Just hope that people are more careful when they drive.

Simpsons's collection

Spend 2 dollar with the Courier mail vouchers to receive these Simpson stickers. The whole collection contains 16 characters. I did not get all because I am only interested in the Simpson family. So, I only got six and still wanna to keep them in package. Honestly I am not a big fan of the Simpsons, but I would like to collect these stickers. I guess it will take a while before I am willing to tease the package and get them out and stick them on the fridge..

Cookie update

Cookie is getting bigger and bigger but he is still able to be fit in my big handbag. I brought him in a bag last weekend and this was the first time he was in a handbag. He was calm and did not react much. Even so, I think I am not going to put him there all the time because it is not so comfortable for being put in such a small area. hehe..
He always played with the toy monky and chased that all the time. One of the funny thing is that he always sleep with the legs on top. I never seen any dog sleep like that but it is super cute..

Birthday dinner @ Alchemy

Yesterday was Tao 's birthday and we planned to have dinner in Cha Cha Char Wine Bar and Grill. However, it was Friday and it would be very noisy as people went to the bar to watch football. So, Tao suggested to go to Alchemy.
Alchemy is located along the Brisbane river and has a nice view of the bridge as well. We arrived quite early and had two beers and some snack. The snack was not normal package nuts but gourmet pistachio, peanuts etc with different flavor. I dislike the nuts to be salty all the time without any variety.
We sat down on the table outside and could see the river and the bridge. That was a really nice. We ordered grilled scallops with cherry tomatoes and garlic puree and fresh oysters with pork belly jelly. I really like the scallops as it is fresh and soft. The cherry tomatoes were really nice , not sour at all but with a bit of smokey flavor. I did not havethe oysters because I was afraid of having diaherra. I have no idea why everytime I had fresh oysters , I definitely needed to go to toilet within an hour...what a pity. Tao had it and he said it was pretty good.
For the main, Tao orded the special beef cheek with red wine sauce and I orded the slow cooked salmon with garlic croutons. The salmon was cooked perfectly and still very soft. I especially like the sauce with a bit of bacon in it, it added a lot of flavor to match with the salmon. The beef cheek was very soft and melted into your mouth just as described by the waiter. We ordered mixed seasonal vegetables for sides and it was just normal one without any special. Overall speaking, Alchemy is a great restaurant with nice food and great view. I hope I can try the dessert next time as they all seemed to be delicious on the menu. However, I already prepared a small dessert at home so we did not have the chance to taste it. Anyway, another excuse to come back.

Favourite candies

I miss this candies so much. It is a kind of jelly candies from Japan and I really love it. I remembered that I always have it when I was in study room preparing my CE and AL exams. I like the texture and the taste. It is not very sweet and can last quite a long time. I especially like the flavor of strawberry and melon and left them at the end to enjoy.

This candy reminds the time when I was studying hard in college and had a great time with my friends in study room. We shared snack, helped others to get a seat, listen to music together, shared different colour pens for underlining important points, queued up to get in the study room during break time, ran out to get coffee to refresh our mind, ate our meals along the stairs, cried the night before we had the important exams...etc. Even though it was a hard time to prepare for the exam, I had great great memories with all my friends there. We shared support together and tried out best for the exam. So, I like this candies so much not only because the taste, but it reminds me of so many precious time in the past.

Cookie's dinner time

Another update about my little puppy. Cookie is always excited to have his dinner because it is the most delicious among all meals. We add canned food with dry food together making it smells great and tastes yummy. He jumps, dances and even begs us to give him the meal asap. It is so funny and cute

He follows me everywhere and sometimes accidently stepped by me...We try to train him to be more independent and able to stay alone at home. I give him several toys, chew bones or treat in order to make him not feel boring at all. Also,we start to train him how to sit but seems he is very lazy. He just wants us to rub his stomach and massage his body ..what a lazy fat boy!!!

Loccitane discipline mist for damaged hair

After having a salon hair treatment, I really wanna to maintain the smoothness for longer time. As my hair is really dry and damaged, I tried quite a lot of hair treatment before and they are just so so, not any great products have really impressed me apart from the Kerastase hair serum I mentioned before.

After some recommendation read on forum, I wanna to give a try on the Loccitane Aromachologie Discipline Mist for Dry and Damaged Hair . I use it as a leave-on conditioner and it works really well on my hair. It helps to leave the hair soft and smooth. More important is that it does not leave any greasy on hair but a very light texture. The smell is very fresh but I do not know how to describe it. The smells is like a kind of old perfume that I have smelt when I was very young. It can be used to get rid of any unpleasant odours as described. By the way, you can spray on hair and tie it up for a period of time and give you a nice curl afterwards. I really love this and for sure will re-purchase it.

Freedom obtained

Freedom has beem obtained again at home. I am so thrilled of getting freedom of space, time and internet at home...hehe. I now found that being able to speak whatever you want and do whatever you like without concerning other may know..what a great feeling that I had nearly forget..
I love my home

YSL matte foundation

This foundation was on the top list of cosmo beauty japan last year and I would like to give a try after I found that the guerlian semi matt foundation was no longer my color.

The YSL matt foundation is not liquid foundation but in a mouse form which you can either put loose powder on top or just use it by itself. At first I found it a bit cakey and does not leave a perfect blend to the skin. I was thinking how come it was on the top list and there must be something wrong with how I use it. So, I give it another try and I found out I put too much primer and does not leave it to dry before I put this foundation on. I tried to wait the primer dry and put the foundation mouse on. It feels great and the skin is so smooth. This product is very easily blend to your skin and leave a very natural finish. Also, it can last for a very long time as it is a oil free foundation. It even better after hours as it can still gives you a natural glow without being oily. It is for sure good for combination to oily skin type.

I found it better to apply with hand as the body temperature helps to blend it effortless. I really like to use it when I need a natural make up for a long day out. Btw, all make up from YSL will not block pores and I do not need to worry about causing acne. Heheh

Cookies being active

Cookie has arrived home for 2 days. He is doing quite well and started to feel at home. Although he did cried a bit during night , he stopped quite quickly when I asked him to be silent.
I guess the toughest job right now is to toilet train him. He sometimes do his business on the right spots..but sometimes still do it on the carpet. So we have to clean that with vinegar in order to get rid of the smell. Hopefully, he will be clever enough to go to toilet on the correct area and the house will not cover by vinegar smell.

I bought him to the vet today and he is very healthy. He is a fat boy weights nearly 2 kg. I am not able to carry anything after taking him to the clinic....so so heavy. Just hope that Cookie will be a healthy and loyal dog.

Here is the first time playing a ball...from scare at first to enjoy chasing it...

No more personal driver for me

After a long practice and loads of money thrown to the driving lessons, I finally have my driving test today.
I always think male and female can both drive , but I cannot deny that women tend to have more problem controlling the car properly after I started learning. I always have problems related to reverse especially parallel parking. I have prayed not to test this during the test. I guess I will fail for sure if there is a heavy rain and parallel parking being tested.

I woke up this morning and it was a very heavy rain. I was so afraid that why everytime I had driving test, there would be a heavy rain. Last time when I had the test in hk, it rained (the only time I drove when there was rain)..and..of course I failed. So I had the feeling that I would fail if there was a heavy rain. But the rained stopped after that and I had my test under a big sun. So, I have no excuse ....too bad.

I had the test for half hour. Luckily everything went quite smooth and I am able to do all the things the examiner asked me to. So, I passed the test and finally get my driver licence. No excuse not to drive anymore...

Cookie has new home

This is the Cookie. I decided the name because of his color. He is brown and white...just like a yummy cookie...hehe..

He is already 8 weeks old and this is the first day at home. He is very big compare to his brothers and sisters...(He must eat too much)...He cried a bit on the car when we were driving home. I guess the road is not smooth enough and scared him a bit. He is clever and starts to play with the doll at home...Hopefully, we can train him well and be a great dog.
